When Lewis Stocking served as Potentate in 1971, he granted a charter to the First Aid
Unit with one restriction, no more than thirty members.
To qualify for membership, a Noble must be proficient in one of the following categories:
Physician, Dentist, Paramedic, Male Nurse, Emergency Medical Technician, Military
Emergency, Red Cross Multiple First Aid Card Recipient, or equivalent. Many First Aid Unit
members are also Certified in C.P.R. (Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation).
The duties of the membership are to be available for emergencies which could occur at
Shrine meetings, social functions, ceremonials, circus parades, football games and to
examine candidates prior to their initiation.
This is a working Unit of dedicated Nobles to prevent accidents, as well as to give first aid
in emergencies.
The First Aid Unit would like to have at least two Nobles of each individual Shrine Unit to
be trained in C.P.R. The members arrange annual training meetings for new and also renewal
Certifications at Tripoli Temple under trained instructors.
Now is the time to join the First Aid Unit, you will be proud you did.
