Because we wanted to be involved in Tripoli activities, we formed our Animal Unit sponsored by the Sheboygan County Shrine Club. Noble Harvey Hinze got the idea to rent animal heads and suits. We used them at Green Bay in the Ceremonial parade in 1965, and also at Port Washington and West Bend the same year. We now own our own uniforms.

We walk so crippled children can be made well. It is very gratifying to see children smile and extend their hands for a shake. Noble Frank MacNamara was our first Director until 1973, when Noble Bob Root took over. Also, in 1973 our unit became a Tripoli Temple Unit with 22 members.

Each year we participate in about 20 activities, which include all Tripoli Temple affairs, local civic functions, such as hospital visitations, retarded children gatherings and bell ringing for the Salvation Army. Our itinerary includes money-making events such as Fireman Picnic parades, Festival parades and many Ceremonial parades. We receive donations for these services.
